Our History
Everett P. “Jake” Jacobs and his son, Delton Jacobs, opened Jacobs Property Management on May 31, 1972. Jake built his first home in 1950 and began buying and selling real estate shortly thereafter.
Delton graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Real Estate in 1977. He and Jake worked to expand the business and by the end of that decade, Jacobs Property Management was one of the two largest Real Estate Brokerage firms in Columbia.
Soon after, they began to manage investment properties for private owners, merging the business of assisting buyers and sellers with property management.
In 1990, the sales portion of the business joined forces with Re/Max Boone Realty. As a result, Jacobs Property Management took shape and began to exist solely as a Property Management Brokerage firm.
Today, Jacobs Property Management serves dozens of private owners by managing their real estate investments. With a large and diverse scattered-site management portfolio, customers have a variety of housing opportunities.
